“Creative and Energetic” Special Events

The Windsor Farmers Market is famous for monthly special events that inspire and educate visitors of all ages. Many events celebrate the in season veggie of the month, like the Zucchini Festival, Tomato & Pepper Fest and the Pumpkin Jamboree. Celebrate family holidays at the Market like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. Be prepared for the fall Holiday season with recipes and tastings the Sunday before Thanksgiving and with menu and local gift ideas the 3 weeks before Christmas.

There are always fun things to do at the Windsor Farmers Market events:  Mom and Grandma sip tea out of china cups on Mother’s Day, Dad and Grandpa can play the “What the Heck is it?” Game on Father’s Day where you guess the names of old home and garden tools. The kids can climb on new and vintage tractors. There’s Pumpkin Bowling in the Fall, Kidz Day on the Farm in July and a Veggie Art Contest in August. All of the events happen during the Farmers Market from 10-1.

The Windsor Farmers Market loves kids and the Market special events offer free kids cooking classes, craft projects, contests, education activities and country games. At Kidz Day on the Farm, kids learn about planting, cooking, farm animals and local School Gardens show and sell products they grow and produce during class. Visit our Kidz Dig It page for more information.
