April 6th – 2014 Season Opening Day, Live music with John Youngblood

April 20th – Easter Sunday on the Green – The Windsor Certified Farmers Market is open on Easter Sunday, April 20th, 10-1 pm. Bring the family out for an Easter Brunch made the way you want from Chef Skip Catering, Charlie’s BBQ, Flour Creations, Costeaux Bakery, Raymond’s Bakery and more Easter goodies to picnic on the Green or to take home. Gorgeous floral bouquets, handmade gifts, enjoy a local Gospel Choir-”Redwood Highway”, Kidz come make Easter Bonnets and have your picture taken with baby spring animals.

April 27th – Earth Day – Earth friendly demonstrations, education, live music and Kids activities.

May 11th – Mothers Day Tea – A Modern Asian Tea Tasting & Demonstration with Tea Docents, Chado-En (, Tea Cookie Tastings from Market Bakeries & Chefs, A Free Rose for the first 100 Moms courtesy of Atrellis Flowers & Gifts.

May 18th – Kidz Day on the Farm, The Windsor Certified Farmers Market presents, “Kidz Day on the Farm”, Sunday, May 18th from 10-1 pm, on the beautiful Windsor Town Green. This event is especially for kids, where they get a chance to play with their food and discover where their food comes from with hands-on farming and planting, Kidz Dig It Cooking Classes, Solar Slot Cars with Affinity Solar and more fun food and farming activities. Enter the Giant Pumpkin Growing Contest and pick up your seeds, Sonoma County School Garden Projects, Lego Barn Building Contest, Country Games, Live Music & Sing-a-longs with kids. – In Conjunction with the Windsor People4Parks playground expansion event, “Playdate in the Park”, come be part of Windsor’s history and purchase a tile or brick from the new playground project, free Ice Cream, (

June 1st – Chef John Ash Cooking Class to Celebrate the Market’s 13th Anniversary, Cake & Prizes, Chef John’s newest book, Culinary Birds will be available for purchase on site by Pages on the Green.

June 12th – Opening Thursday Night Market

June 15th – Fathers Day – Bring Dad and the whole family to the Town Green for Father’s Day. Sit and enjoy the Windsor Kiwanis Pancake Brunch, peruse through Dad’s Tractor Show and play the popular “What the Heck is it?” Old Farm Tool Guessing Game. Fun for all ages!

June 22nd – Kidz Dig It Cooking Class – Fruit Parfaits

July 3rd – No Thursday night Market, TOW Fireworks at Keiser Park

July 6th – Quilt & Flower Show 9-2, Farmers Market 10-1, Don’t miss this annual event with Quilts, new and old hanging all along the Town Green Arbor and local quilters show their wares. Sponsored by The Material Girl Fabric Lounge, this year there will be special exhibits of vintage Doll Beds, Doll Quilts and Antique Samplers (Popular around 1900, usually done by young girls at 12 & 13 yrs to show their handwork.) July 27th – Kidz Dig It Cooking Class – Wrap it Up!

August 10th – Zucchini Festival 10-1 & Antique Show 8-2, The Town Green is buzzing with excitement at this popular annual event that celebrates the summer abundant vegetable, the Zucchini! Kids come enter the famous Zuke Car Races. Enter the Veggie Art Contest and The Largest Zuke Contest with cash prizes, Chef Demonstration and Country Games. In conjunction with the annual Windsor Antiques and Collectibles Show you can walk through dozens of vendors showcasing antiques, vintage and retro collectibles from the last Century. Chair Caning Demonstration and FREE on site Appraisals by Eagle Estates, bring your family treasure and see what it’s worth. Shop the Antique Show early from 8 am to 2 pm, Zucchini Festival runs 10 am to 1 pm..

Sept 7th – Tomato & Pepper Fest, Celebrate everyone’s favorite fruit and vegetable at this annual event – Free Tasting of over 50 locally grown varieties of Tomatoes, Local restaurants bring out their best at the Salsa Tasting with fresh Chips from Casa Sanchez, Hot Sauce Tasting, Chef Demonstration with The Green Grocer who shows us, “4 ways to preserve Tomatoes” and The all new Tomato Toss & Smash – finally something we can do with all those soft tomatoes! Try your luck at soaking a local caged celebrity with tomatoes – proceeds benefit the WHS Culinary Program.

Oct 26th – Fall Harvest Festival – The fall brings to the Market all the brightly colored fall apples, pears, pumpkins, gourds and winter squash. These gorgeous fall fruits and veggies come together at the all new Harvest Festival at the Windsor Farmers Market. You will find a Giant Pumpkin Show, Pumpkin Car Races (see rules and car specs on our website.), Build a Scarecrow to take home, Kidz Dig It – Pumpkin Carving & Painting, Country Games, Apple Pressing Demonstration, Apple Hard Cider Tasting with the Windsor Lions Club and more to be announced.

Oct 26th – Dec 14th Craft Show at the Market – Buy your Holiday gifts from local artists every week.

November 23rd – Thanksgiving Tasting Feast at the Market – This annual event is when the Windsor Market vendors and staff come together and prepare an assortment of Thanksgiving menu ideas for you to sample. With only 4 days til Thanksgiving recipes are availabe for you to shop the Market and take home the ingredients for your own Thanksgiving family feast. Turkey Boning & Carving Demonstration and a Kidz Dig it Cooking class – Persimmon Salad.

December 14th – Market Closing Day – Every year on the closing day of the Windsor Market everyone gets together and throws something into the Community Stone Soup Pot. There is plenty of soup and stories of a prosperous year to share with all. The Kidz Dig it Club decorates Holiday Cookies for dessert with Tracy from Cookie . . . take a bite! And Christmas Caroling from local childrens choirs.
