We've all had this salad at someone's house, I think! Just in case you don't have a recipe for the version of cole slaw with Japanese noodles ... here it is! It's so delicious you will eat it all up on the first serving ... you won't have leftovers! Great with any kind of meat or fish dishes. And, a wonderful accompaniment to grilled cheese sandwiches. And, the real bargain is it tops the list of those cruciferous veggies.
1/2 of a cabbage head, chopped
5 green onions, sliced
1/4 C. slivered almonds, toasted (works well with any nuts)
1/4 C. sunflower seeds, toasted
1 package Japanese Noodle Soup Mix
1/4 C. rice wine vinegar
1/4 C. olive oil
Crush the noodles; mix the seasonings mix packet from the soup with rice wine vinegar and oil; combine all salad makings except noodles; toss with dressing; add noodles just before serving.
