This is an addition to already-baked apple pie ... a wonderful Harvest topping that will enhance your apple pie to "star" performer!!!
1/2 C. brown sugar
2 T. flour
3 T. Karo Syrup – dark or light, your choice
2 T. butter, room temp
1/4 C. chopped walnuts – or any nut of your choice
Mix all ingredients and spread on already baked apple pie. Bake at 375 for approximately 10 minutes until the topping bubbles – and yes, it may run over – be sure to put it on aluminum foil or a baking sheet. Let set until the topping is not too hot to eat, or until set.
