The Windsor Farmers Market, It’s Good For You!

Located in Old Downtown Windsor, on the picturesque Windsor Town Green, just 60 miles North of San Francisco in the middle of Sonoma County wine country. Open from 1st Sunday in April through the 1st Sunday in December and Thursday nights June-August, the Windsor Farmers Market is a free family friendly event that was first started in 2001. The Windsor Market has become a community gathering place offering live music, special events, food tastings, cooking classes and a place to meet family and friends for Sunday Brunch. Purchase the freshest local fruits and vegetables directly from the Farmer who grew them and most likely picked them that very day. The Farmers are there to answer your questions, share recipes and tell stories about farm life. Local Chefs and Food Producers offer handmade baked goods, artisan cheeses, fresh fish, cage-free eggs, grass-fed meats, honey, olive oils, flavored balsamics, jams/jellies, salsas, pastas, charcuterie, candies and more. Grab a snack or a meal and eat at one of the big redwood picnic tables in the sycamore grove or read a book, walk the dog or take a nap on the Town Green, a 5 acre park with shopping and a spacious children’s playground nearby.
Stop by early for a hot coffee or tea and come hungry – Local Bakeries and Chefs offering fresh al fresco meals to go each Sunday include:  chicken, tri-tip and jumbo hot dogs from Charlie’s BBQ, New Zealand style meat pies and sausage rolls from BurtoNZ Bakery, tamales from Cocina Picante, fresh pastries, cakes, cookies and pretzels from Cavaliere’s Bakery, Trini’s Sweets and The Pastry Girl. Artisan sourdough breads from Reza Breadery. Brunch choices like Breakfast burritos, quesadillas and tacos from Panchitas, Smoothies, Acai Bowls, Avo & Egg Toasts from Fruity Moto and watch for surprise special guest Chefs throughout the season.

The Windsor Farmers Market is proud to include a selection of local handmade arts and crafts at the Market each Sunday. Artists come and go in between art shows and open studio days, check our full list of Artists on the Vendor Page. You will often find each Sunday:  handmade jewelry using beads, stones, sterling silver and semi-precious stones and glow in the dark, custom built furniture and home and yard décor made from wine barrels, metal yard art, crystals, crocheted clothing, table linens, soaps, candles, hats and picnic blankets. Buy directly from the artist at the Windsor Farmers Market or have something custom made.
